De volgende versie van Windows zal naar verwachting verder gaan dan traditionele updates en een meer modulair en lichtgewicht besturingssysteem omarmen, bekend als CorePC. Van de vereiste om tijdens de installatie een Microsoft-account te gebruiken tot de dubbele instellingenmenu's (Configuratiescherm en de nieuwere Instellingen-app), het brengt wat aanpassingen in de workflow met zich mee. Je zult ook een opnieuw ontworpen rechtsklikmenu tegenkomen en een Startmenu vol verspilde ruimte en voorgestelde apps\u2014sommigen zouden ze advertenties noemen. Aan de positieve kant biedt Windows 11 een strakkere interface, moderne functies zoals Verkenner met tabbladen en betere prestaties bij dagelijks gebruik. De strenge hardware-eisen kunnen echter een barri\u00e8re vormen voor oudere pc's. Tools zoals Rufus kunnen helpen om deze beperkingen te omzeilen, maar dat is niet zonder risico.
